On a
cold December morning we had the task of moving a
7ft Steinway Grand Piano from a first floor flat in Hampstead.
The only
problem was that it was too large to fit down the stairs so we
needed to use
a crane to lower it down. In this picture you can see our staff
begin the
task of dismantling the piano and taking out the sash window.
|
|
| The piano
is covered and secured to the piano shoe. |
|
| The crane
get's into position... |
|
| ...and the
piano is strapped to the crane and is ready to
go. |
|
The Steinway
leaves the room for the first time in 60 odd
years.
|
|
| The crane lowers the
piano down... |
|
| ...nice and slowly. |
|
| It's down, safe and
sound. |
|
Then we had a short
walk to the delivery address which
was a ground floor flat 100 yards away.
|
|
| It's delivered - in
A1 condition to our clients delight! |
