Hammersmith & Fulham

Hammersmith & Fulham is one of the most desirable places to live in West London at the moment, and there’s a lot more to it than originally meets the eye!

If you headed on the main roads, away from the new and improved Hammersmith & Fulham look we all know today, you’ll find incredible residential areas with a village-like feel. These little pockets can be found all over the SW6 area.

Almost like stepping back in time. You might find a Victorian cottage as your new home! The area does have the highest proportion of Victorian homes in London, so luck is on your side.

SHOPPING:

Westfields, with over 350 retail outlets, is Hammersmith’s shopping hubbub.

However, if you prefer small independent shopping, the high street stores and abundance of markets are sure to suit you.

ART & LIFESTYLE:

Home of the Hammersmith Apollo and the Hammersmith Lyric providing you with top quality theatre productions and gigs.

For history buffs, the William Morris Society, Emery Walker Trust and the Fulham Palace provide fine art and beautiful architecture.

Here’s a sneak peak at the exciting history you’ll find there: Hammersmith & Fulham was the home of the first speed bump!

WALKING:

One of the area’s flagship parks, Ravenscourt Park provides an abundance of facilities. The 13-hectare space has a rich history and is currently home to netball, basketball and tennis courts, bowling green and paddling pool.

Not to mention the Ravenscourt Park’s annual events: Bonfire Night, Steam Fair and Alfresco Opera Season.

The Thames, running through the south of the borough, is just a bonus, providing scenic walks in Hammersmith & Fulham and beyond.
